Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: May 7, 2026

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the rules and guidelines for using the Sentinel platform (“Service”). Our goal is to ensure the Service remains useful, reliable, and safe for all users while respecting the rights of content creators whose work is referenced through the platform.

Permitted Uses

Sentinel is designed for legitimate research, verification, and analysis purposes, including:

  • Journalism and fact-checking
  • Academic and market research
  • Legal research and evidence gathering
  • Media monitoring and brand tracking
  • Personal curiosity and learning
  • Content verification before sharing or citing

Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Service to engage in the following:

Harassment and Harm. Stalking, harassing, or intimidating any individual; organizing or participating in coordinated harassment campaigns; revealing private information about any person without consent; or creating content designed to defame or unfairly damage reputations.

Misrepresentation. Misrepresenting Sentinel search results or presenting statements out of context to distort their meaning; creating deceptive compilations that materially alter the substance of what was said; using results to spread false or misleading information; or fabricating quotes or attributing statements to individuals incorrectly.

System Abuse. Using automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without authorization; attempting to circumvent rate limits or access controls; probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Service; or interfering with other users’ access to the Service.

Commercial Misuse. Reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing access to the Service; using the Service to build competing products; or systematically copying or archiving Sentinel data for redistribution.

Content Guidelines

When using information surfaced through Sentinel:

  • Verify before citing. Review the source video to confirm accuracy before publishing or relying on a result.
  • Provide context. Do not selectively present statements in a way that misrepresents the speaker’s intent or the broader content of the video.
  • Attribute to the creator. Any citation to video content surfaced through Sentinel must be attributed to the original content creator, not to Sentinel. Sentinel is a research and analytics tool; it is not the source of the underlying statements. The video creator who made the public statement is the source.
  • Link to sources. When possible, include a link to the original video.
  • Acknowledge limitations. Search results may contain errors. Independent verification is the responsibility of the user.

Reporting Violations

If you believe someone is violating this policy, please report it to reportabuse@sentinelsearch.ai.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate and take action against violations of this policy. Actions may include warnings, temporary suspension of access, permanent termination of access, and reporting to law enforcement when appropriate.
