Summary
Carli Lloyd is an Olympic medalist who spent seven years playing with the United States Women's National Volleyball Team. However, after her first Olympic games and two years into training for her second Carli made the decision to walk away from the national team, from the olympics, from everything she had worked for. You might be thinking, Why? Well today, and for the first time ever, Carli is opening up intimately about this decision and the powerful realizations she’s had about herself, life, and purpose along the way. Many of you have probably heard the term "more than an athlete," well Carli is one of the most beautiful examples of that phrase. We talk about past trauma, dealing with suicide and suicidal thoughts, the challenges and downfalls of competitive sport, allowing ourselves to feel, and what it means to SHOW UP AS YOURSELF!
