Still Waters Inn is the home of an allied Dutchman and many other refugees who are hiding from the clutches of the Nazis. It is here that Ruth joins the Resistance and begins working anonymously for La Libre Belgique- the notorious underground rebel newspaper- and where she meets the quiet and intriguing Ezra Pik.</p><p>As the war rages on with no end in sight, hope becomes dire as courage falters and they must all learn to lean on their faith in order to preserve their freedom.
