It’s not just that Republicans refuse to govern like conservatives; it’s that their perfidy induces a self-fulfilling dynamic of empowering Democrats and turning red states blue. DeSantis has done the exact opposite in Florida, where he has used the power of government to destroy the Left politically. In no state is this dynamic more evident than in Georgia. We’re joined live at the state Freedom Caucus summit by state Senator Colton Moore (R), the vice chair of the Georgia Freedom Caucus. He explains how the good old boys’ network in Georgia refuses to fight Democrats on election fraud, Fani Willis’ indictments, or even illegal immigration after the murder of Laken Riley. Moore’s actions have gotten him removed from the GOP conference and banned from entering the state House chamber. Moore’s presentation gives us the perfect illustration of both why we need to do surgery on the GOP and how to do it. Absent such surgery, more red states will turn blue
