Laura highlights an important statement Brian makes about the relationship and finances which is overlooked by the responding officers and is yet another indicator of coercive control.

Laura focuses on evidence that Brian is thinking about himself, whilst an emotional Gabby prioritizes and centres Brian’s needs over her own, as well as how sexism, a gender bias and misogyny played a role in green lighting and reinforcing Brian’s coercively controlling behaviour. This is not easy listening – but it’s important. It might just save a future life.
