312. When Progressivism Becomes Possession

<p>In this episode, we examine Carl Jung’s warning about mass movements and psychological possession—and apply it directly to modern progressive and communist ideology. Drawing on Jung’s insights into groupthink, moral outsourcing, and the loss of individual conscience, this episode argues that contemporary progressivism functions less like a political philosophy and more like an ideological substitute for moral responsibility. We explore how collectivist movements dissolve accountability, sanctify resentment, and replace individual judgment with enforced consensus—using real-world unrest as a case study in ideological possession.</p>
