God's Image in Man | Episode 5 | Take Dominion

<p>The first and primary attribute of God's image in humanity is to take dominion. In episode five of "God's Image in Man", Duane Sheriff teaches that, as image-bearers of God, humanity has been entrusted with dominion, sovereignty, and the authority to rule and reign on earth. Matthew 18:18 and Revelation 5:10 state that we have the ability to bind and loose, to reign as kings and priests. By grace through faith, Christians are called to take authority over sin, sickness, their families, and society.</p><p><br /></p><p>When we fail to exercise righteous dominion—whether in our homes, communities, and nation—the image of God in us becomes distorted. Stop making excuses, stop playing the victim, and take personal responsibility through faith. God cannot override our free will, as doing so would violate His image in us.
