Karen Read Hearing Summary: Federal Investigation CLOSED & Defense Under Fire!

At Karen Read's March 4th Hearing, the courtroom was buzzing with activity, and several key issues were addressed. The defense clarified the timeline of when they learned of the payment and why it wasn't disclosed immediately.

The Commonwealth filed a motion for sanctions against the defense for allegedly violating a protective order by including certain testimony and text messages in a motion for reconsideration. The defense acknowledged an error but did not file a formal correction with the court. The Commonwealth requested an unofficial "gag order" in the case, which the court is considering.

The judge has taken up on advisement about where or not to do a Daubert Hearing on the Commonwealth's Expert Witnesses- James Crosby and Robert Gilman. The case is heating up, and tensions are high as both sides prepare for a fierce legal battle the next day on March 5th.
