Summary
For this very special holiday episode, Adam and Rafi are joined by comedian Tony Hawks, a regular on TV and radio panel shows. Tony came to national prominence with his first book, Round Ireland with A Fridge and has since enjoyed a wonderful and wacky career, finding different ways to bring joy to the world. For his second book, Tony travelled to Moldova in an attempt to beat each member of the national football team in a game of tennis, and ended up establishing the Tony Hawks Centre, a pioneer in children's care provision. Back in the UK, Tony also helped set up Tennis for Free, bringing access to tennis to all, with the help of celebrity pals like Stephen Fry and Hugh Grant. Tony is not only a hugely talented writer and comedian, but he’s one of those rare people with a true zest for life, who have crazy ideas and just go for them - all with the intent to use his media platform to make a positive impact - even though he describes it as “enlightened selfishness”.

Hosted on Acast.
