In return, Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Iran would also impose a fee of roughly $2 million per ship that it would split with Oman. A video contradicts the agent’s claim that assailants had beaten him with a shovel and broom before he opened fire. The video lasts about 12 seconds and shows two men struggling with the agent—no shovel.
