RED Church—Special Guest Pastor Paul Renner!

<p>In Red Church today, special guest, Paul Renner teaches about the issues of the heart. He cites the Book of Proverbs 4:23 to remind us of the importance of keeping our hearts with all diligence for out of it springs the issues of life. He informs us that our intent in life should be to serve the Lord while basking in the knowledge that we're the salt of the earth, as Christ assures us in the Book of Matthew 5:13. This goes to establish how Christ Jesus views everyone of us, which is better than we view ourselves, hence we must be cautious in our dealings and ensure that the glory goes to God alone and not to us. </p> <p>Learn more about Z Ministries by following the link below:<br /> https://linktr.ee/zministries </p> <p>Moving on, Pastor Paul instructs that the motivation for our actions should be to give glory to God and not to ourselves, reminding us of God's word in the Book of Matthew 6:4 that cautions about doing good in secret, that the Lord who sees in secret will reward us openly. He further reminds us of God's instructions regarding prayer, cautioning that we pray secretly so that the Lord who sees in secret will reward us. Again, he emphasizes the importance of avoiding all distractions when we spend time with the Lord while allowing the Holy Spirit to minister to us. </p> <p>In addition, he further insists that we lose our reward when we publicize things that we should do secretly, especially in praying, fasting, giving, and spending time with the Lord. Also, he cites the Book of Mathew 6:19-20 to caution against storing up treasures here on earth, but rather store up for ourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. He clarifies that God rewards us based on the motivation behind our actions and not on the action itself.
