For this caller, they just needed help and the employee was focused on typing everything down, pressing for photos and using escalating behaviour. In contentious situations where callers are distressed, it is best to let them speak and provide a comforting environment where the person feels heard and the employee shows empathy. </p><p>Tyson delves into questions that candidates should ask to uncover real company values. One of the questions is focused on having the manager describe the kind of person that should not work for the firm. For a manager, this will catch you off guard. But for a prospective candidate, this will allow you to understand how the company sees themselves and the kind of traits and attributes they hold close and value.
