199. Fearlessly Failing: Lorna Jane Clarkson

<p>I can honestly say, hand on my heart, that I made a new friend today. When Lorna came over for the interview she was warm, friendly, kind and I felt like she genuinely cared about my dreams and aspirations. This episode is for anyone who has a dream. LJ started out teaching aerobics and making her own outfits to teach class in, then she'd make outfits for people who asked her where she bought the getup from, that progressed to having a rack on the side of the gym where people could buy her creations after class. She remembers teaching a class and the whole room was wearing what she'd whipped up. In 1990 she opened her first ever store, it was scary and took a truckload of courage. Fast forward to today Lorna is the director and creative designer of Lorna Jane, author of best selling books (one of which you'll hear us talk about today), she's motivation and movement creator. Even coining the term "active wear." In this episode we talk about drive, making mistakes, burn out, why dieting sucks, having an inner tiger and passion. I left this pod feeling inspired and like i had made a friend, Lorna was so giving of her time and energy and she spurred me on to chase my dreams even harder.
