Summary

Meet Jonathan Pease, author and creator of Winning the Room; a book and program about how to confidently public speak. We recorded this ep back in Byron Bay over the Chrissy holidays, so thank you JP with being so patient around its release!

JP believes that everyone should be able to build the confidence to publicly speak. In this chat we really deep dive into public speaking and common pitfalls like that we often speak too fast or waste our energy on small talk. JP has brilliant tips about finding your own voice, mastering eye contact and the importance of rehearsal. Tight Loose is a term we unwrap and it's a really simple but smart concept, something i'll definitely be taking into my own life not just for public speaking but also acting prep going into auditions. He also taught me this really cool word: PARRHESIA which is an Ancient Greek term for speaking courageously without fear.
This book is available nationwide; you can grab your copy here: Book
And he's a link to JP's website and program Winning the Room: More about JP
Hope you learnt loads from this chat!

Big love,
Lola

Hosted on Acast.
