<p>Russia hit major cities across Ukraine with increasingly heavy shelling as the conflict escalated on its sixth day while a vast convoy of Russian forces is threatening the capital, Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a passionate speech to the European Parliament in defiance of Russia’s ongoing invasion of his country. The United Nations has admitted that some non-Europeans refugees have faced discrimination while trying to flee to safety at Ukraine borders after their experiences were dismissed as lies and “Russian disinformation” by online commentators. Senate Republicans, joined by Joe Manchin, voted to block debate on a bill that would codify Roe v.
