It's hard to imagine a better person to tackle these kinds of slightly-askew questions than Randall Munroe, creator of the <a href="https://xkcd.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">xkcd</a> webcomic. He collected some answers in his book <a href="https://xkcd.com/what-if/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em>What If?</em></a>, and has released a sequel, <a href="https://xkcd.com/what-if-2/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em>What If? 2</em></a>.
