Summary

Humanity has contended with the plague of COVID for over 2 1/2 years now. It has upended every aspect of our lives. Case in point, the rates of depression and anxiety have risen from 11-12% of the population (prior to COVID) to over 40% in the past couple years. Join this important conversation with esteemed guest, Dr. James Bramson, and Dr. John to unpack the proven ways that you can tap into more frequent positive emotions, such as joy, even in the midst of a worldwide pandemic.

Dr. James H. Bramson is a licensed psychologist and social worker with over 25 years of experience. He is the director of the Mindful Alliance Center and Co-Founder of the East Bay Mindfulness Center. James works as a clinical director, supervisor, organizational consultant, neuropsychologist, forensic psychologist, expert witness and clinician. He utilizes a strategic-solution focused, CBT, & IFS approach to help individual clients (and couples) optimize their full potential and to live, work and love “mindfully”. When Dr. Jim is not running his clinic and professional network, or seeing clients, he is doing expert witness work in court or overseeing organizational consulting projects, training shrinks in other countries or just laying about. Mostly, his joy comes from being a husband and raising two kids, watching and playing sports, and playing the drums. Dr. Bramson is currently finalizing his book entitled, Finding Joy During The Plague and Other Not So Good Times.

And you can find out more about Dr. Jim at

theebmc.com/

wcminstitute.net/

drbramson.com

Books referenced in this episode include…

Man’s Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl

Positivity by Barbara Fredricksen

Please remember to like, share and review.
