Ice penned his top hit, “Ice Ice Baby,” when he was just 16, although he noted that his song “Ninja Rap" is also popular among younger fans. Ice credits his success to his own work, refuting claims that someone named Mario Johnson assisted him. Ice stated that he had initially intended to sign with Def Jam Records but changed his mind after being offered a better deal by another label.
