Jared "Psych" Laurence is an international motivational speaker, confidence coach, and dating coach with a strong background in psychology, therapy, and dating dynamics.
It didn't quite start out that way, though. As a youth, he was both the shortest in his class and overweight -- at one point weighing over 230lbs. His hobbies were relegated to Magic the Gathering, Marvel comics, and Star Wars. Battling loneliness and depression, he turned to anti-depressants before finally hitting rock bottom -- where he sought hypnosis as a way to forget his troubles.
That was when he decided to change his life around.
His transformation began during his sophomore year of college and drove him to lose 50lbs, travel the world, and systematically improve every aspect of his life until he became unrecognizable to his previous self. His body language changed. His posture improved. His social skills transformed. His confidence grew. Gone were the days of being terrified of women, dateless, and lonely on Saturday nights. Even to his peers and co-workers, Jared was a changed man. He exuded the confidence, charisma, and je ne sais quoi that had always eluded him.
He eventually found himself helping and motivating others to do the same for themselves, going on to teach for some of the largest dating coaching companies in the world.
Laurence is also classically trained in therapy, psychology, and counseling. No stranger to helping those in distress, he has worked at a suicide and crisis hotline center before eventually becoming a dating and confidence coach.
Today his coaching utilizes both cutting-edge proprietary techniques as well as established psychological and behavioral tools including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Conditioning, and Psychodynamic coaching.
Laurence is currently a senior instructor at The Tao of DJ Fuji.
