Despite the current “chaos” regarding the Ukraine peace plan, “there are people in the Trump Administration who are very optimistic that there is going to be a peace deal by the end of the year,” says Mark Halperin, and with “increasing pressure on Venezuela, there’s increasing talk that Maduro will be out, also around the same time. Imagine — and I’m not predicting it, but imagine — if there’s a peace deal that the Ukrainians accept … and that Maduro is removed without the loss of American life.”
