YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn this segment, James explains the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party establishment (represented by the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Joe Biden, etc.) through the music and lyrics of Randy Newman.
In 1974, Newman released an album called The Good Old Boys, with a leading track titled "Rednecks". The song’s melody is pretty reminiscent of You’ve Got a Friend in Me (from Toy Story), but lyrics talks about institution racism and hypocrisy. Often misinterpreted, the song doesn't excuse the institutional racism in the South vis-a-vis Jim Crow and other de facto laws, but rather exposes the hypocritical attitude of the North. The same analogy can be made to explain why the Democrats of today are hypocrites.
