The Truth About Our Representatives

This week on 51/49, James breaks down the public health failure and the legislative failure brought about by our supposed "public servants" that has allowed the coronavirus pandemic to absolutely decimate our country.

There are two critical facets to responding to a global pandemic like this: the first is the public health response—what measures are we going to take to contain the transmission of the virus (aka testing, contact tracing, and masks)? The second is the legislative response—what infrastructure are we going to put in place to help us get through this pandemic (aka COVID-19 relief bill)?

Our representatives, Donald Trump, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, and many others have failed us on both accounts. They've failed us not because of bad luck, nor circumstance, nor gridlock in Washington. They've failed us because they care more about themselves, their quest for power, and their corporate donors than public service. The Presidency is compromised, Congress is broken--America is a failed state.
