The wintery conditions today were thanks to a cold front that crossed the south of the state, bringing showers to the Riverina, southwest slopes and southern tablelands. There are celebrations in the Snowy Mountains with the snow continuing to fall another 20 centimetres, enough for Thredbo to announce it is officially opening for skiing and boarding tomorrow with more snow on the forecast. Tomorrow another cold front will cross southwest WA bringing a burst of strong winds, widespread showers and a cold blustery change, while a high will dominate NSW once again.
