This major escalation comes after an incredibly tumultuous 24 hours between Washington and Tehran, triggered by an incident in which Iranian forces shot down an American military helicopter.
Reporting live from Los Angeles, US Correspondent Lily Greer confirmed that the Pentagon and US Central Command (CENTCOM) resumed active strikes in the region. The military operations were carried out under the direct orders of the Commander-in-Chief, President Donald Trump. According to official statements from the White House, the retaliatory actions are a measured response to continuous and unwarranted aggression coming out of Iran.
