1:33Now PlayingIn a dramatic overnight operation, Queensland Police have successfully tracked down and arrested a dangerous gang of machete-wielding teenagers accused of orchestrating a terrifying crime spree across South East Queensland. The group of boys, aged between 14 and 17, allegedly terrorised residents across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast by executing 11 separate home invasions.
The crime spree came to a crashing end on the Sunshine Motorway. Queensland Police Service used a helicopter equipped with a thermal camera to track the stolen vehicle from above. After tactical flight officers monitored the vehicle, police successfully spiked the car's tyres, forcing it to a stop before ground units pounced on the suspects. Two teenagers were pinned to the ground immediately, another was tracked into nearby bushland, and the final suspect was arrested at a Yarabilba home. All four teenagers are behind bars, facing serious charges including armed robbery and the unlawful use of a motor vehicle. | *Subscribe and 🔔
