Four of the six nominees for the brand-new Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter hail from the Nine Network.
Jelena Dokic, Danika Mason, James Bracey, and Eddie McGuire locked in nominations for the 66th TV Week Logie Awards, celebrating the team's world-class sports coverage. During the event, McGuire paid a warm tribute to his old friend and colleague Bruce McAvaney, branding the broadcasting legend the "OG" and a true gentleman of the industry.
Nine's sports coverage also secured a stellar run of nominations, with nods for the 2025 Melbourne Cup Carnival, the 2025 Men’s and Women’s State of Origin Series, the Australian Open 2026, and the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
The 66th TV Week Logie Awards take place on Sunday, August 16 in Sydney. Voting is now open. Fans can vote for 9Network and Stan nominated talent and programs at tvweeklogies.com.au.
