Sam "Adventure" Baker was born into a family of climbers.
He now hopes to be the youngest person to climb to the summit of El Capitan in California.
El Capitan is Yosemite National Park's iconic vertical rock formation.
According to the park's website, it's two and a half times as tall as the empire state building.
On Monday, Sam set out with his dad and two other expert climbers to make the trek. It's expected to take four days.
Besides climbing with his dad, Sam said he's most excited about eating lasagna in a hammock hanging thousands of feet in the air.
