15:15Now PlayingCora Marquez and her mother Sue Marquez sat down with 9NEWS to reflect on the year since five people were killed inside a Commerce City apartment after taking cocaine they did not know was laced with fentanyl.
Cora Marquez was inside that apartment on Feb. 20, 2022 and was the only one to survive. That day she lost her brother, husband, future sister-in-law and two good friends.
Karina Rodriquez, 28; Sam Marquez, 24; Humberto Arroyo-Ledezma, 32; Stephine Monroe, 29; and Jennifer Cunningham, 32, all died that night.
Cora described all of them as her "circle" and one year after the incident is speaking out about what happened and how she's working to move forward despite the tremendous losses.
