A 17-year-old National Team bicyclist was hit and killed by a car while training in Boulder County this weekend, USA Cycling said.

Magnus White was preparing to compete in the Junior Men’s Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Championships in Scotland on Aug. 10, and was set to start his senior year of high school in a few weeks.

"I don't know enough superlatives," Magnus White's coach Michael Robson said. "I really don't. He was just a phenomenal kid."
