1:58Now PlayingPolice have arrested a 48-year-old man from Massachusetts accused of fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run crash and driving his truck onto Folsom Field on the CU campus Thursday.
Around 6:45 p.m., Boulder Police said they responded to a call about "several hit-and-run crashes involving the same pickup truck near Foothills Parkway and Arapahoe Avenue."
Police said witnesses reported that a man driving a blue pickup truck was involved in at least two hit-and-run crashes and also hit a couple of trees and a sign before driving away from the area.
Witnesses told police that many people tried to stop the driver from leaving the crash scene and one person was almost struck by the truck.
The driver eventually got out of his truck located on the football field and surrendered to Boulder Police.
