2:38Now PlayingEscuela Valdez Elementary School is creating bilingual, globally-minded students through its comprehensive dual language immersion program that teaches children from age 3 through fifth grade in both English and Spanish.
The Denver Public Schools innovation school serves approximately 65% Latino students and 35% from other backgrounds, with roughly equal numbers of native English and Spanish speakers learning together daily, said Principal Jessica Buckley.
