2:55Now PlayingThe man accused of injuring 12 people by throwing makeshift Molotov cocktails had been planning the attack for a year and showed no remorse, according to federal court documents.
The attack on a group of people walking to raise awareness of Israeli hostages happened around 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of the historic courthouse at 1235 Pearl St. along Boulder's Pearl Street Mall.
According to a federal complaint, Mohamed Soliman, 45, threw the items into the crowd while yelling "Free Palestine." The documents say he's charged with a hate crime for an act of violence involving someone's perceived or actual race, religion or national origin. The charge carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
