0:28Now PlayingPeople have been ordered to evacuate near Gateway in western Colorado due to two wildfires burning in the area.
The Mesa County Sheriff's Office said evacuation orders have been given for all private land and areas between mile markers 120 and 124 along Highway 141 near Gateway.
The public is asked to avoid the area to allow crews to work on containing the Turner Gulch and Wright Draw fires, which were started by lightning on Thursday. The Turner Gulch Fire was estimated at 512 acres as of 4 p.m. Saturday. The Wright Draw Fire is at 160 acres, according to the Bureau of Land Management.
