9NEWS KUSA-TV led a two-year investigation that ultimately uncovered the truth. Not only was UCHealth suing more patients than anyone else, but it was doing so under the auspices of a loophole in state law. That loophole – closed by the legislature because of the investigation – permitted the hospital giant to sue thousands yearly in a way that was virtually untraceable.
