2:20Now PlayingColorado lawmakers working through a special session this weekend sent a bill to Gov. Jared Polis' desk that would serve as a backup plan to cover Medicaid reimbursements for Planned Parenthood.
The federal spending bill signed by President Donald Trump in July ended Medicaid payments to Planned Parenthood, which had previously reimbursed the centers for health care services. The issue is tied up in the courts now, so Colorado Democrats worked to build in a backup plan at the state level to protect that care.
