1:32Now PlayingAt 34 years old, Danny O'Shea is pursuing his Olympic dream with renewed determination - but the path hasn't been easy. In this revealing clip, Danny discusses what keeps him motivated at an age when most figure skaters have long retired, and drops a bombshell: he competed at World Championships this past season on a broken foot. Not only that, but he was also dealing with a sports hernia throughout most of the season. This offseason required two surgeries - one for the broken foot and one for the hernia. He's been close to the Olympics before (first alternate in 2018) but describes this as his "second chance." The ultimate goal? Peak performance in February at the Olympic Games, not just at the beginning of the season. His approach now focuses on working hard while prioritizing recovery and health, learning from past experiences about what it truly takes to achieve at the highest level.
