2:43Now PlayingCandidates backed by teacher unions saw huge success in in several large school districts on Tuesday night, either pulling back power they'd lost in recent years or solidifying the stronghold they already had.
“If there was a common thread throughout all of last night, I think it's that communities across Colorado really sent a strong message that they want to see their educators supported,” said Kevin Vick, president of the Colorado Education Association (CEA).
CEA, the statewide teacher’s union, is also a major player in election season – working with local district unions and supporting various candidates.
