The Denver Public Schools Foundation, the district's fundraising partner, has relaunched the Food Security Fund to help families that usually rely on SNAP benefits.
In the pandemic, that fund helped the district handout grab-and-go food bags while students were remote learning and not benefiting from school meals. This time around, the funds are helping fill food pantries at community hubs and individual schools, along with purchasing grocery gift cards for families.
