1:00Now PlayingThe State of Colorado updated its traction law, and drivers are being reminded to make sure they are in compliance before hitting the road.
The law requires tires with a tread depth of at least 3/16 of an inch, and they must be winter, mud or snow tires, according to Colorado State Patrol (CSP). The law applies to all four-wheel- and all-wheel-drive vehicles.
