1:41Now PlayingThe Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing is planning to implement rate cuts as part of Gov. Jared Polis’ October executive order aimed at “long-term sustainability” of the Medicaid program. Under the proposal, movement therapy rates would be lowered.
Victor Gall said proposed reductions to Colorado’s Medicaid rates for movement therapy could significantly reduce access to music therapy services for children with developmental and physical needs.
He said the changes threaten both his livelihood and the survival of the clinics that employ him.
