2:21Now PlayingTrace DNA from the inside of a paper bag that had not been touched in nearly 40 years connected one of Colorado's most prolific serial killers to the 1987 killing of 30-year-old Rhonda Marie Fisher.
"Obtaining a DNA profile from paper bags nearly 40 years old is exceptionally rare, highlighting how critical a careful case and evidence review is," said Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly as he announced that Fisher's case was closed.
