The 2026 Olympic Games are just days away from the Opening Ceremony.

In a matter of weeks, Colorado will debut its first professional women’s soccer team, and Wednesday marks National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

That’s a whole lot of girl power to celebrate, and one Denver middle school joined the fun.

“We are celebrating the achievements of women in sports, and promoting play, all the benefits students get from participating in sports,” said Danielle Ennis, Athletic Director at Girls Athletic Leadership School (GALS) in Denver.
