As strong winds are predicted this week across the Front Range and Colorado's Eastern Plains, Coloradans should be prepared for power outages due to the winds, Xcel Energy said.

Xcel said Sunday that they're not planning any Public Safety Power Shutoffs this week as they have during some past wind events, but during the next two to three days, the utility will activate Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings across eastern Colorado to mitigate against wildfire hazard conditions.
