Residents in the town of Padroni and the surrounding areas were ordered to evacuate Wednesday afternoon. A few hours later, Logan County officials posted more evacuations for a larger area that included the town of Iliff in northeast Colorado. The evacuation zone was from County Road 66 south to Highway 138, and from Highway 113 to County Road 65. Officials said evacuees could gather at the Logan County Fairgrounds.
