3:00Now PlayingMore than two feet of snow has fallen in parts of Colorado during a May snowstorm. The spring storm system began dropping snow in Colorado's mountains and foothills during the day on Tuesday. The Front Range and most of the Denver metro area will receive most of its snow overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
More than 23 inches of snow were reported at Estes Park, Meeker Park, Pinewood Springs, and Allenspark. Estes Park led the snow totals with 28 inches, as of 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The 4.7 inches measure at the Denver airport Wednesday makes this storm officially the biggest May snowstorm in Denver since May 10, 2003.
