If we work on the assumption that Boris Johnson cannot survive a no deal brexit, and that he knows it, this leaves him needing to avert it in one of the only two ways possible to do so: backing down and agreeing a deal with the EU, or extending the process somehow. Both have political difficulties, as well as some legal issues as well. But which would be easist for Johnson to avoid the no deal brexit?
