But adaptation costs a lot of money, and so only large businesses are able to do this. This means that, as small businesses lose custom, it may be picked up by larger corporations, who can afford to adapt. This would mean a net loss of jobs in Britain, a net loss of job satisfaction, and a net loss of customer service.
