8:20Now PlayingAfter several months of refusing to acknowledge the diplomatic status of the EU ambassador to the UK, Boris Johnson's government have had to climb down, as was always going to be the case. This is both good and bad. It's bad because we continue to present impossible positions that result in international humiliation on a regular basis when we are made to climb down. But it does at least show that the government understand that they need to work with the EU, and cannot work against it.
