In a select committee hearing, the Trade Secretary said that she didn't know what the GDP boost from the New Zealand trade deal was. The chief negotiator also seemed to indicated ignorance. Yet the department has published this information and it provides no boost to GDP at all, to 0.01%. The government seems to think it's better to pretend to know nothing about brexit than to actually respond with the truth. With brexit, the truth is more politically damaging than ignorance.
