YouTube Description
as posted by the channelWhen we need to look at the impact on trade of various events and policies, we can look at the volumes of goods passing through our ports. Brexit caused a huge drop in British port activity once it was clear we were headed for a hard brexit. It has dropped during covid as well, and continued to drop this year when other countries were recovering from the pandemic. Even the forecast, which predicts a bounce back, does not show us getting back up to pre-brexit levels of trade.
